How to play Spin The Bottle

How to play Spin the Bottle, the team building version.
A light icebreaker that gets a group talking and helps people find out something they didn’t know about each other. No kissing. This is the office friendly version!
Works best with 6 to 15 people, takes 10 to 15 minutes, and needs nothing but a bottle.
WHAT YOU NEED
One empty bottle, plastic or glass, anything that spins easily, and a
smooth floor or table.
HOW TO PLAY SPIN THE BOTTLE
1. Everyone sits in a circle, close enough that the bottle can point at each person. Put the bottle in the middle.
2. One person spins the bottle.
3. When it stops, it points at somebody.
4. The spinner asks that person a question.
5. After answering, that person becomes the next spinner.
THE ONE RULE
The questions are fun, and about the person. Not about work.
QUESTIONS THAT WORK WELL
• What is something you are surprisingly good at?
• What was your first job?
• If you could live anywhere for a year, where would you go?
• What is something your coworkers probably don’t know about you?
• What is something on your bucket list?
• What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Keep going until everybody has answered at least once.
ASK AFTERWARDS
• What surprised you most today?
• Who did you learn something new about?
THREE VARIATIONS
1. TWO BOTTLES
Put two bottles in the middle and spin them at the same time. The two people they land on ask each other a question. Twice the pace, and it pairs people who would not have picked each other. Good for larger groups, where waiting your turn takes too long.
2. THEME ROUNDS
Before each round the group picks a theme: first jobs, travel, food, school.
Every question that round has to fit it. This gets you past the awkward firstminute, because nobody has to invent a question from nothing.
3. THE BOTTLE PICKS THE QUESTION
Lay the questions face up in a ring around the bottle instead of choosing them yourself. Whoever spins answers whatever the bottle lands on. This flips the game around: the spinner is on the spot, not somebody else.
