In this energizer team-building game, participants work together to form a human map based on where they live—but there’s a challenge: no center point is given! Teams must discuss, negotiate, and collaborate to figure out their positions without a predetermined reference. This activity encourages strong communication, spatial awareness, and teamwork.
Whether you’re looking for a fun icebreaker or a deeper insight into team dynamics, The Map is perfect for any group wanting to build problem-solving skills while learning more about each other.

Some variations to this energizer game to get to know each other:

Variation 1:
To make it a bit easier you can also give them a point to start. For example where you live. For example you can say: I was born in Madrid, stand somewhere in the room, so they have a spot to work from.

Variation 2:
Next to where they were born you can also make them stand in a room based on where they live now.

Variation 3:
Participants are not allowed to speak and must rely on non-verbal communication—gestures, pointing, and even drawing in the air—to figure out their positions. This variation encourages creative problem-solving and emphasizes the importance of non-verbal cues.
